I discovered this last year

whilst still consumed with angst

of treading a path sans compagnon

and I imagine them

holding baskets of stuff

with additional arms

crafted in Vishnu’s image

and TikTok tells me all about

body doubling

people have designated

laundry days

but instead of a body doubled

I have a body halved

people have designated

laundry days

and I wonder when those begin

and when they end
