HEROICA ISSUE 2: CONFESSIONS [DIGITAL VERSION]
Available now. PDF/Digital version of the Heroica magazine (NOT PRINT)
When our team sat down and finalised this year’s theme, we were excited to see what stories the chosen theme would trigger. It is safe to say we weren’t disappointed. Each article is a confession many of us can relate to.
From unpacking cryptocurrency jargon (what is that all about?), breaking down the economy and the cost of living crisis to understanding pleasure, painful sex, periods, returning to abusive relationships and so much more. This issue did not shy away from bearing it all.
In particular, we are thrilled to have interviewed Nadya, about August, the revolutionary period brand she founded. Equally we are thrilled to showcase a piece by the incredible Tilly Roberts interviewing Erika Lust, a multi-award-winning filmmaker and prominent leader of the feminist pornography movement. Peppered throughout the magazine, you will find uncensored confessions that we have gathered from our community over the past year... Oh, and they are everything you want from a juicy confession.
Confession. A word with some scandalous and even shameful connotations, it is a great symbol of our rebellion. Our stories don’t belong in a confessional; they belong front and centre.
Alongside insightful prose, you will find stunning photography and gorgeous poetry.
